Arrivals Gate

Reporting live from Taipei TaoYuan International Airport, Roske and Yang.
We have arrived safely after a gruesome 12 hours of dry, static-y air and tinny noises of engines, stewardess voices sickly sweet with practice, and the dreaded wails of unhappy babies.
Other than the usual grit of travel, our trip went quite smoothly-- no delays.
Right now, we're waiting for my parents to scoop us up-- it's 5:23 am in the morning here. Asian men with hairy moles and rumpled clothes are passed out on the couch, one with a trolly of "Peacock biscuits". People are exhausted, and the heat of the day hasn't even passed yet.
As soon as transportation arrives, we'll be driving to the apartment in the city, and get settled. The whole day is ahead of us.......!
